Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school when her parents divorced to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. It was a struggle to survive at the time she landed her first acting role in the film Rachel's Room's lead character. The television film Murder in Greenwich, in which she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004 and she shared the Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) with her. Grace, who had worked with Tom Welling on The Fog in 2005, decided to make the move to film. She appeared as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken the year 2008) in Suburban Girl as well as the Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised the role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the main character Alice in Malice in Wonderland a modern version of Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon on the final episode and two other episodes. Grace was a part of the show's sixth season that aired from 2013 to 2014. The actress portrays Faith as a groupie as well as a model for the stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. Part of the Gyllenhaal family she is the child of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older cousin of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager her career began on small roles with her father. She was also in Donnie Darko alongside her brother. In 2002, she starred as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Also, she appeared in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her performance as a lead character of Secretary (2002) as well as in Sherrybaby (2006), the erotic drama about romance and Sherrybaby (2006). She was also nominated for her fellow actors for the Golden Globe Award. The Dark Knight, which was released in 2008, following several highly successful films including World Trade Center (2006), brought Gyllenhaal greater fame. In 2009, she was recognized as the best supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her portrayal of a single mother as she appeared in Crazy Heart. The following years she appeared in comedy and dramas: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012. Alongside her work as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she also appeared on screen in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). One of her latest roles included the protagonist The Kindergarten Teacher The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal made her debut as a writer and director in 2021, with her psycho-drama The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
