Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actress and television presenter. She's best known as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her showbiz career as a child. She played lead roles in television dramas as early at the age of 16. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the commercially and critically successful Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this beautiful diva. Alexandra is well known for her work in numerous noteworthy projects both domestically and internationally. This includes the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical miniseries Napoleon and many more. The actress also served on the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
